Clinton is located approximately 5 kilometres west of the Gladstone Central Business District.

Clinton is one of the major residential catchments for the Gladstone area and benefits from excellent access to the major retail and transport amenity for the local area.

Being an established suburb Clinton offers all the benefits of living in built-up areas including eateries, sporting grounds, Homemaker Centre and the Airport. The suburb is home to two primary schools, Clinton State & St John Primary School.
